Virtual Reality Memory Care
In collaboration with local assisted living facilities and adult senior centers, the Martin County Library System is embarking on a new way to support therapeutic treatments for adults suffering from Alzheimer’s and related dementias through Virtual Reality (VR) programming. Seagrass and Stormwater Field Trip

Martin County and UF/IFAS are pleased to announce a Water Ambassador field trip to the Coral Gardens Stormwater Treatment Area, Wednesday, September 21 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Participants will visit the Coral Gardens Stormwater Treatment Area and learn more about the beneficial submerged aquatic vegetation pilot project. This event is free, but registration is required.

Veterans Memorial Bridge 5K
The Palm City Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Veteran's Memorial Bridge 5K on Saturday, November 12 in honor of our veterans! The run will begin at Jock Leighton Park and then head east over the Veterans Memorial Bridge and then back west over the bridge to the park. Registration is open now, sign up today!

SE Indian Street
Intermittent Lane Closures
On Thursday, September 22, HSR Constructors will finish final signal work on SE Indian Street at the railroad crossing. This work will require intermittent lane closures from SE Commerce Avenue to SE Dixie Highway beginning at 9 a.m. and is anticipated to be complete by 2 p.m.
