The Latest News From FAU Health Network

We're excited to launch the first issue of the FAU Health Network e-newsletter, designed to keep us connected and informed. This monthly newsletter will serve as a central source of news about the people, programs, and events that make up our FAU Health Network. In each issue, we’ll share important information about milestones, upcoming events, grants and awards, research initiatives, novel innovations and technologies, people spotlights, and much more.
Established this summer, the FAU Health Network addresses critical workforce pressures through enhanced medical education programs, accelerated medical research innovation, and access to clinical trials — all while continuing unrivaled levels of patient care. Our incredible regional partners represent leading hospitals, health care systems, universities and colleges, health care districts as well as non-profit organizations that provide care to underserved populations in Palm Beach, Broward, and Martin counties.
The network was created to maximize interactions and synergy between FAU’s colleges including nursing, medicine, engineering and computer science, science, education, business, social work, and arts and letters.
In this first issue, you’ll read about our FAU Foundation’s record-breaking fundraising efforts; an important grant one of our academic partners has received to establish an artificial intelligence lab; and the launch of a one-of-kind Portable TotalCare Telehealth Station™ for telehealth care that can be used in rural communities. We’re also excited to share with you a great opportunity for our partners to “mix and mingle” during our FAU Health Network Football Game against Rice University this fall.
The FAU Health Network newsletter is an extension of our collaboration and camaraderie and an important communication tool to share our ideas, thoughts and knowledge. We welcome your feedback and input on ways to improve the newsletter, how you might contribute to future issues, and what information and topics are of most interest to you and your colleagues.
We hope you and your family had a healthy and happy summer, and we look forward to a dynamic and productive fall semester. |
