How to participate in the 15th Annual Treasure Coast Waterway Cleanup

The Marine Industries Association of the Treasure Coast has a simple goal in conducting their annual waterway cleanup; to demonstrate personal responsibility for our most precious resource “our waterways.” It’s easy to participate and there are many ways you can be involved. Whether you choose to work independently or with a group, here the steps to take for each option.
Cleanup Week (self-reporting) Saturday, July 16th – Sunday, July 24th:
  • Register online, click “Register Here.” Select “Virtual Cleanup.”
  • Cleanup anywhere and anytime. This is a great way to collect community service hours. You will need to provide your own clean supplies and know where you will dispose of the trash collected. We will not have trash containers in place prior to July 23rd.
  • Enter your trash totals by July 30th, using our digital, “Data Collection” form at
Cleanup Day – Saturday July 23rd
  • Register online, click “Register Here.” Select “Virtual Cleanup.”
  • Choose your site. Find site locations for all regions by clicking, “2022 Cleanup Sites.”
  • Report to the site that you registered for between 8-10am on Sat. July 23rd. You will receive your t-shirt, burgee (if going out on watercraft), and cleanup supplies.
  • Go to an area you are familiar with, either by boat or on foot. When you’re finished, return the trash and grabbers to the site you reported to.
  • Enter your trash totals by July 31st, using our digital, “Data Collection” form at
Peck Lake Reef Dive Cleanup - Saturday July 23rd
  • Register online, click, “Register Here.”  Select, “Register Here” and choose, “Peck Lake Reef Dive” for your site.
  • Participate in one of our, “Diver Briefing Meetings” via Zoom on July 21st, 4pm or 6pm.
  • Report to Manatee Park (4358 SE Bayview St., Stuart, FL 34997) on Sat., July 23rd. Here you will receive any loaner equipment, t-shirts, burgee, and complimentary air refill from Stuart Scuba.
  • Go to a familiar dive site. When you’ve completed your dive, return the trash and any loaner equipment.
  • Enter your trash totals by July 31st, using our digital, “Data Collection” form at
New this year, when you submit your data collection information, you are automatically entered into a raffle with all kinds of prizes from restaurant gift certificates, event tickets, nautical and marine supplies and more. Data must be entered by July 31st and the drawing will be held on Facebook Live, August 2nd @ 6pm
