Honoring our Veterans
 
 
 
 
 
The Annual Veteran’s Day Parade and Ceremony will be held on Friday, November 11 beginning at 10 a.m. in Stuart. The parade, led by veterans and veteran service organizations, will end at Memorial Park and will be followed by a ceremony starting at 11:11 a.m. Attendees will experience a special flyover, compliments of The Stuart Air Show.

The goal of this program is to deliver over 370 books to children ages 3 to 5 years old enrolled in Martin County programs with the Early Learning Coalition. King Tides are Coming
 
 
 
 
 
King tides are seasonal, extreme high tides that can cause coastal tidal flooding, especially in low-lying areas. The next King Tides predicted for our county are from November 6-9. During this time, avoid driving on flooded streets and submit photos of flooded areas to our Public Works team.

Phipps Park Campground Opening
 
 
 
 
 
After extensive renovations, Phipps Park campground in Stuart will reopen to the public on Saturday, November 19. Improvements include septic to sewer conversions, RV electrical service up to 50 amp, shoreline stabilization, landscape improvements and a new fishing pier/floating boat dock. Reservations open on Monday, November 7 at noon.

Mosquito-borne Illness Advisory
 
 
 
 
 
Health officials have issued a mosquito-borne illness advisory following confirmations of West Nile and St. Louis encephalitis viruses in sentinel chicken flocks in the area. SE Lime Tree Trail Closures
 
 
 
 
 
On Tuesday, November 1, Pike Electric, on behalf of Florida Power and Light, began utility work on SE Lime Tree Trail. This work requires lane and sidewalk closures from SE Cable Drive to SE Pine Avenue. Work is anticipated to be complete by December 15.
