Appliance Repair Technician Apprenticeship (Paid

Training) Part Time to Full Time

Location: St. Lucie, Martin & Palm Beach Counties, FL

Compensation: Paid training; $10-$20/hr. Upon successful graduation, $40+/hour

(performance-based).

Apprenticeship is an earn-while-you-learn pathway where you’ll train alongside veteran

technicians to diagnose and repair major home appliances (refrigerators, washers/dryers,

ranges/ovens, dishwashers and more). Show your drive, master the milestones, and

promote into a full Technician role at $40+/hour and beyond.

What You’ll Do (Day-to-Day)

Ride-along and assist lead techs during in-home service calls across our three-county

service area.

Learn safe use of tools, meters, and test equipment; practice basic electrical/mechanical

troubleshooting.

Support diagnostics, parts handling, and repairs under supervision.

Deliver clear, friendly communication with customers; represent our brand with

professionalism.

Keep simple service notes, photos, and checklists on a mobile device.

Care for company tools, vehicle (when assigned), and uniform.

What You’ll Learn (Milestone-Based Curriculum)

Fundamentals: safety, tools, ESD, reading model/serial data, service etiquette.

Electrical basics: AC/DC concepts, continuity, resistance, interpreting wiring diagrams.

Mechanical systems: pumps, motors, belts, seals, hinges, door systems.

Refrigeration basics: heat transfer, sealed-system overview, leak awareness (advanced

work handled by senior techs).

Brand platforms & common failures: Whirlpool, GE, Samsung, LG, etc.Customer service & professionalism: explaining diagnoses and options in plain

language.

Company-sponsored manufacturer trainings; EPA 608 and other certifications may be

supported as you progress.

Ideal Candidate

18+ and authorized to work in the U.S.; early-career and hands-on/technically inclined.

Natural problem-solver who enjoys taking things apart and fixing them (projects, cars,

PCs, robotics, shop class, etc.).

Clear communicator who’s polite and comfortable speaking with homeowners.

Dependable, punctual, and eager to learn; takes pride in neat, quality work.

Lives within or near St. Lucie, Martin & Palm Beach Counties, FL and can reliably

commute.

Minimum Requirements

Valid Florida driver’s license and insurable driving record (vehicle provided after

training & insurance approval).

Able to lift 50–75 lbs, kneel/stand, and work in varied home environments (with

appropriate PPE).

Willing to complete a background check and drug-free workplace requirements.

High school diploma/GED (or in-progress senior with work-based learning eligibility).

Pay, Schedule & Advancement

Paid training from day one; steady increases tied to skill check-offs and service quality.

Master Tech

Full-time schedule; local routes within St. Lucie, Martin, and Palm Beach counties (some

flexibility based on demand).

Company uniform; vehicle assignment after training; tools and tablet as you advance;

paid manufacturer trainings.
