Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Marine Seamstress to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sewing and a strong understanding of fabric manipulation and attention to detail. Must be able to read a tape measure and to cut and sew straight and precise. This role involves working in a dynamic environment where creativity and precision are key to producing high-quality cushions and enclosures for boats. The Seamstress will be responsible for fabricating, sewing, and ensuring that all finished products meet our quality standards.
Duties
- Operate sewing machines and other equipment to fabricate cushions according to specifications.
- Perform tasks including cutting, stitching, and finishing.
- Inspect finished products for quality assurance, ensuring they meet design specifications.
- Maintain an organized workspace within the warehouse to ensure efficiency and safety.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot any issues that arise during the sewing process.
- Follow safety protocols while operating machinery and handling materials.
Requirements
- Proven experience in sewing techniques.
- Proficiency in operating various types of sewing machines.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce high-quality work consistently.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Must speak English.
