IT Server/Network Technician (Remote/Onsite)

2JData is looking to hire qualified IT server/network technicians for full-time remote and onsite work.

Server/Network Technician (Remote/Onsite)

 

  • Work Cooperatively with our team and any outside technical advisers/vendors
  • Follow company procedures and deadlines
  • Technically skilled with good problem solving abilities (Think on Your Feet)
  • Experience in server networks and systems maintenance
  • Ability to Setup a Server from beginning to maintenance
  • VMWare ESXi Experience for Virtualization
  • Server Domain Knowledge Required
  • System Raid Storage Setup Knowledge Required
  • Server GPO Understanding Required
  • Server Network Security Understanding Required
  • PowerShell Understanding Required
  • Repairing and replacing damaged hardware
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, upgrade and repair PC's, Servers, Laptops, LAN's/WAN's, Wireless Routers, Printer's, etc.
  • Strong OS skills troubleshooting PC Windows, Windows Server 2012, 2016 and 2019
  • Knowledge of software such as MS Office 365, Exchange/Outlook, System Recovery, diagnostic utilities and more
  • Knowledge of Mac OS X operating system is a plus, along with basic troubleshooting skills with Apple hardware such as MacBook Pro laptops and iMac desktops.
  • Experience with Linux is a plus
  • Experience with ConnectWise and or Other Remote Terminal Software
  • Must demonstrate good judgment, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of networking, routing, and switching protocols and proper network design infrastructure.
  • Skilled in planning, organization, and decision making.
  • Skilled in oral and written communication.
  • Able to communicate orally in the English language with customers, clients, and the public using a telephone, face to face, one to one setting, or using data network systems.
  • Able to produce written documents in the English language with clearly organized thoughts using proper sentence construction, punctuation, and grammar.
  • Able to comprehend and make inferences from written material.
  • Able to effectively manage multiple tasks at once.
  • Proficient in HDD/SSD (Imaging Drives, Backing Up Drives, Data Transfers, Partitions)
  • Proficient and Knowledgeable regarding Backups (Cloud Based, Local, Operating System)

 

Requirements:

  • Between 5 and 10 Years IT Experience Required (Remote Support, Networking, Hardware Implementation); Preferably for an MSP or Similar IT Structure
  • Highly Skilled in Customer Service (5 to 10 Years in Customer Service Required)
  • Must be charismatic with a good attitude (Great Work Ethic)
  • Must be Punctual (Arriving Early to Prepare for the Day); This is Critical
  • Reliable transportation (Must have a vehicle to ensure daily arrival)
  • High Ability to Multi-Task (Multiple Tickets at Once or Phone Calls)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Business IT Experience (Repair and Troubleshooting): 5 years (Required)
  • Customer service: 5 years (Required)
  • Server management: 2 years (Required)

  • Driver's License (Required)
