Fire Inspector

*Note: As identified in the Minimum Qualifications, current possession of the State of Florida Firesafety Inspector I Certification is required in order to be considered for this vacancy. Under the direction of and subordinate to the Operations Chief, the Fire Marshal and Fire Chief, position is responsible for ensuring fire code compliance for public safety through inspection of new and existing businesses pertaining to the Florida Fire Prevention Code and local ordinances. The Fire Inspector shall collaborate with the Building Department as needed and is responsible for ensuring fire code application for all new construction and Business Tax Receipts. Conducts annual fire safety inspections of existing buildings and conducts plan review. Work is performed in accordance with direct instructions and well-defined routines.
