Stuart Main Street Executive Director

Work Objectives
The Executive Director prepares and manages the work plans for the Board with emphasis on the Four Main Street Points of Organization, Economic Vitality, Design and Promotion of the historic downtown thru programming and events.  Our Director will act as the liaison and public relations director for Stuart Main Street and will work in partnership with the historic downtown businesses and all our historic downtown stakeholders to include governmental entities, non-profits, residents, property owners etc. In addition, the Director will be responsible for growing Stuart Main Street Revenues through strategic partnerships to ensure a stable financial base for the organization while maintaining its 501(C)(3) status.
Management Responsibilities (oversight)

  • Management of Historic Downtown Promotions Partnership (Joint Promotion Committee) to include
    • Coordination
    • Events and Event Budgets
    • Communication to include Stuart Main Street Website, Social Media and Distribution of Historic Downtown Information to the Community at Large
 
  • Management and Coordination of each committee for Stuart Main Street to include Organization (membership, fundraising, website, budget, volunteer training), Design, Economic Vitality and various ad hoc sub committees as needed
Expectations of the Director (action)
  • Key client relations (city staff, commissioners, CRA board, Historic Downtown Business Association, East Stuart, FL Main Street)
    • Attend City, CRA and DBA meetings
    • Attend workshops
    •  Maintain State and National Main Street accreditation
  • Set goals for the organization
    • Service agreements
    • Facilities
    • Memberships
  • Comprehensive understanding of downtown issues
  • Develops, manages and Delegates tasks related to work plans to ensure compliance with Service Agreements.    
  • Present the annual budget to the board, oversee budget compliance and grow the organizations budget  
    • Fundraising/Events/Volunteer recruitment and motivation
    • Membership-Existing member retention and recruitment of new members
    • Service Agreements

Compensation
  Salary with be commensurate with experience. The current salary range is $45,000 to $55,000.         Incentives for boosting revenue and reserves.
