Dream big with DreamWorks Companies!  We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to fulfill the role of Master Plumber/Qualifier. This position requires in-depth knowledge of plumbing codes, regulations, and industry standards, as well as excellent communication and organizational skills.
Qualifications/ Responsibilities:

  • Master Plumber Certification: Hold a valid Florida master plumber license or certification with a demonstrated track record of excellence in the plumbing profession.
  • Extensive Experience: Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience working as a plumber, with a comprehensive understanding of residential, commercial plumbing systems.
  • Compliance and Regulations: Must ensure that all work complies with relevant building codes, safety standards, and regulations set by local authorities.
  • Assessment Skills: Strong ability to assess and evaluate the technical competence and qualifications of plumbing professionals.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing documentation and conducting assessments.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Proficient problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions based on assessment outcomes and regulatory requirements.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact professionally and diplomatically with applicants, colleagues, and regulatory officials.
  • Computer Literacy: Proficiency in using computer applications and software for record-keeping, documentation, and communication purposes.
  • Supervision: Oversee the work of plumbers, apprentices, or technicians, ensuring that all work meets industry standards and regulations.
  • Project Management: Responsible for managing plumbing projects from start to finish, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and coordinating with other trades or contractors.
  • Installation and Maintenance: Skilled in installing and maintaining various plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, water heaters, and drainage systems.
  • Troubleshooting and Repairs: Diagnose and repair plumbing issues, such as leaks, clogs, or malfunctions in fixtures or appliances.
  • Customer Service: The ability to interact with clients to understand their plumbing needs, provide estimates, explain recommended repairs or installations, and address any concerns or questions.
  • Training and Mentorship: Involved in training and mentoring apprentice plumbers, passing on their skills and knowledge to the next generation of professionals.
  • Documentation: Keeping accurate records of work performed, permits obtained, and materials used is also typically part of a master plumber's responsibilities.
  • Emergency Response: May need to respond to emergency calls, such as burst pipes or sewer backups, and quickly resolve the issue to prevent further damage.
  • Continuing Education: Stay updated on advancements in plumbing technology, techniques, and regulations through ongoing education and training is essential for master plumbers to maintain their expertise.
Preferred Qualifications:·         
  • Certification: Additional certifications or qualifications related to plumbing, assessment, or education.
  • Teaching/Training Experience: Experience in teaching, training, or mentoring aspiring plumbers or plumbing apprentices.
Work Environment: The Master Plumber Qualifier may work in an office setting, as well as in the field conducting assessments and interviews. This role may involve occasional travel to various locations within the jurisdiction for on-site evaluations.
Job Type: Full-time – In Person
Pay: $80,000 - $100,000 a year
