Zweben Law Group Bike Drive gets rolling with Kickoff Party to benefit United Way Holiday Project Stuart, FL – For the ninth year in a row, Zweben Law Group is partnering with United Way of Martin County on the Zweben Law Group Bike Drive to make the holidays extra special for local families struggling to make ends meet. The month-long initiative aims to raise enough money to cover the cost of 300 brand-new bikes to be given to local children through the United Way Holiday Project. To launch the endeavor, Zweben Law Group will host a Bike Drive Kickoff Party on Thursday, Nov. 17, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Stringers Tavern and Oyster Bar in Stuart. The cost is $35 per ticket in advance and $40 at the door and includes one drink and appetizers. Tickets can be purchased online at www.UnitedWayMartin.org/Bike. “Everyone remembers their first new bike because a bicycle is so much more than a present,” said Gene Zweben, Zweben Law Group. “It represents a sense of freedom, a rite of passage and most importantly can mean the difference to a kid getting to school safely.” The kickoff party raises a significant portion of the funds for the bike drive through ticket sales and direct donations in amounts both large and small, but donations can be made at any time from now until Dec. 14 at the United Way website www.UnitedWayMartin.org/Bike. One hundred percent of the funds raised go toward purchasing bikes and helmets. Event sponsors include Zweben Law Group, Stringers Tavern and Oyster Bar, Stuart Family Practice, Treasure Coast Running and IBEW LOCAL 627. The United Way Holiday Project engages the entire community to provide toys for Martin County children in need. United Way of Martin County is the official coordinating organization for the Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots in Martin County.
