Cabaret, a musical set in the decadent 1930's Berlin, will be presented on the Barn Theatre stage with a live band. Cabaret, winner of Tony Awards, first premiered on Broadway in 1966, and has since become a beloved classic known for its bold exploration of complex themes like political upheaval, freedom, and the tension between escape and reality. Set in the seamy Kit Kat Club, the story revolves around Sally Bowels, a free-spirited singer who epitomizes the desire to live in the moment, and an American writer who becomes entangled in the hedonistic pleasures of Berlin. Cabaret features some of the most memorable songs in musical theater, including Cabaret, Maybe This Time, Willkommen, Money, and Tomorrow Belongs to Me. You will be enthralled by the accomplished cast, the vocals, and wait till you experience the incredible choreography.
