On March 21 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m., The Sovana at Stuart, a luxury active-adult community in Martin County, will host a National Puppy Day Pet Supply Drive & Pet Adoption Event in partnership with Furry Friends Humane Rescue.
This special event will bring together residents, families, and animal lovers from across the Treasure Coast to support rescue animals in need. We are currently seeking community partners to donate silent auction items, pet supplies, or monetary contributions to help make the day a success.
Our mission this year carries special urgency.
In October, tornadoes spawned by Hurricane Milton devastated the Furry Friends Ranch in Palm City, destroying buildings, outdoor yards, and essential shelter infrastructure. The facility was declared a total loss, leaving more than 140 dogs and cats without a permanent shelter and requiring millions of dollars in rebuilding efforts.
Despite the destruction, staff and volunteers were able to rescue every animal without injury, and the organization continues its lifesaving work thanks to the support of the community.
Through this event, we hope to rally the Stuart and Martin County community to support these animals while helping Furry Friends rebuild stronger than ever.
