Bunfest, which benefits the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast. After a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, the event returns on Saturday, April 30, from 10-4 p.m. at the Flagler Center, 201 SW Flagler Ave., Stuart. Bunfest is the largest event in the Southeast United States that is dedicated entirely to critters. Features include a blessing of the rabbits, glamour photos, a kid zone, raffles, a silent auction and educational seminars. Admission is $5 and kids 10 and younger are free. The fee for the critters to participate in various activities is $5. Proceeds help support cleaning, feeding, grooming, and caring for the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast’s shelter critters. In celebration of Southeast Bunfest, the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast is offering free adoptions on ALL critters for the month of April! To adopt a critter, visit the main shelter in Palm City. For more information about adoptable critters, visit our website at hstc1.org/Pet-Search. This adoption special is made possible through the generous sponsorship of Angler’s Landing Marina. For adoption inquiries or general questions, call the main shelter at 772-223-8822. “We host the event every year to help raise awareness about our critters and what it takes to give them a hoppy home,” said Sarah Fisher, the humane society’s PR and communications manager. The event sponsors are Angler’s Landing Marina, Supreme Petfoods In Small Pets, Oxbow Animal Health, Monterey Animal Clinic, Inc., and Gainesville Rabbit Rescue and Stuart Magazine.
