He is afraid to leave our house." What starte as teasing has turned into bullying and physical altercations with peers\, classmates invading his privacy even in the bathroom\, causing Chris to completely shut down. For the past seven years\, Chris has celebrated his birthday only with family. "We spent hundreds of dollars on his parties\," said Mary.\n\n"Chris waited and waited\, and nobody came."\n\nPre-event local and national media coverage has already resulted in positive change and currently there are 200+ people who have RSVPed for free tickets to ensure a spot in the day's festivities. Chris will be making a surprise grand entrance thanks to a collaboration between the Ghostbusters in their Ecto1 and various superheroes who will be picking up William and his family and arriving at Superplay USA in style with plans to recreate a famous scene from the movie Ghostbusters. And we don't want to forget the birthday cards. We have firsthand knowledge that Chris loves receiving mail! Past years\, he's\n\nreceived just a few cards from family. This year help us show Chris he's loved by so many by upping that number to a few hundred.\n\nThe Cherab Foundation has partnered with CardFool so people can easily send him a birthday card. It's a real snail mail card that you can personalize and CardFool will send right to Chris's mailbox. Chris gets the card\, our parent organization\, The Cherab Foundation\, gets a few bucks which will\, in turn\, allow us to help even more children\, and you get a star for simply being so cool. Cherab Foundation\, an all-volunteer organization since 2000\, is only successful thanks to the generosity of so many individuals and\n\norganizations offering donations of money\, time\, services and products "We are dedicated to improving the lives of those who are bullied and alienated\, fostering acceptance\, compassion and friendship through open-invite birthday parties\, community awareness and common kindness\," she added. "Please consider being a donor or sponsor to the Cherab Foundation as we begin to build our\n\nprogram with a committed goal to bring our birthday party initiative to every state in the U.S." The Ramirez family's hope for Chris's upcoming 13th birthday is simple: For people to attend and bring children\, to show that people do care\, that there are people out there who are compassionate\, and that not everyone is a bully. "He needs to know that he is worthy of having friends and that he is not alone\," said Mary\, Chris's mom.\n\nSeptember 30\, 2018 \, 1-3pm at SuperplayUSA 1600 NW Courtyard Circle Port St. Lucie\, FL. 34986\n\nwww.cherabfoundation.org/2018/chris\n\nwww.cardfool.com/t/cards-for-chris\n\nwww.gofundme.com/crowdfunnit-chris-ramirez\n\nwww.cherab-chris.eventbrite.com\n\nCrowdFunnit\, a project of the 501(c)3 Cherab Foundation\, hosts HUGE Community Birthday Parties for friendless kids across the country.
