January 30, 2019
The Martin County School District’s Career & Technical Education (CTE) programs and Career and Professional Education (CAPE) academies will present the annual “Career Academy Showcase” on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 in the Martin County High School Gymnasium. All high school Career Academy programs will be on display, with CTE high school teachers and students showcasing what makes these innovative programs so valuable.

Martin County Career Academy students have the opportunity to earn professional Industry Certifications while still in high school, as well as articulated college credit hours at Indian River State College (IRSC). Our Career and Technical Academy students graduate at higher rates than non-CTE students, and CTE students who earn industry certification have higher GPAs on average than non-CTE students.

Additionally, parents and students are afforded the opportunity to learn more about the many career academies offered by the District, so they can make informed schedule choices as they begin thinking about high school. The Martin County high schools with career academies and programs to be showcased are:

           • Jensen Beach High School
           • Martin County High School
• South Fork High School
