Job Title: Landscape Maintenance Foreman
Job Summary:
The Landscape maintenance foreman will be responsible for efficiently provide landscape maintenance to high end residential maintenance accounts.
Duties / Responsibilities:
- Supervise and work along his crew cutting turf, trimming, and blowing using power equipment
- Supervise and work along his crew pruning shrubs and low trees to improve the growth habit or remove damaged branches
- Conducting weekly job site inspections
- Completing job site checklist
- Supervise that all team members are always operating safely including reviewing potential traffic hazards, performing safety gear checks
- Reporting reckless or dangerous activities to Account Representative; notifying Safety Coordinator of any incidents or accidents
- Maintaining a polite, friendly, responsive demeanor with guests and customers
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Required Skills/ Abilities:
- Ability to lead others and manage crews.
- Ability to work & multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to operate various lawn care machinery including mowers, edgers, backpack blowers
- Ability to safely operate hand and power equipment, including but not limited to manual and powered saws and cutters
- Operate various vehicles, with or without trailers
- Ability to push, pull, grip, and squeeze various tools for pruning
- Ability to safely perform heavy lifting/pushing/pulling of various landscaping equipment and materials, including, but not limited to backpack blowers, large containers of mulch/plant material, various sizes of lawnmowers, etc.
Education and Experience
- At least 4 years supervising landscape maintenance crews
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
- Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
Working Conditions and Physical Effort
- Work involves considerable exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
- Extensive physical activity, ability to bend, stoop and twist continuously throughout the day.
- Work requires heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds.
