For any interested volunteers, FWC and FDEP State Parks have scheduled a day of cypress tree planting on Saturday June 22, 2019 at Jonathan Dickinson State Park (16450 SE Federal Highway, Hobe Sound, FL) along the Loxahatchee River. If you’d like to help out please let us know. We’re meeting at 8:30 am at the JDSP main entrance and we will plant until approximately noon. Please bring a refillable water bottle, mud shoes, a change of clothes if desired (for your drive back – you will get muddy!), a rounded/pointed shovel (we have ~20 but extras would be nice), hat, and gloves (if desired). RSVP with Rob Rossmanith, robin.rossmanith@dep.state.fl.us
