Hobe Sound Chamber Christmas Parade, presented by O'Donnell Impact Windows & Storm Protection will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday, December 7th with its biggest procession to date.
Entries will march along Dixie Highway and Bridge Road, traveling in every imaginable mode of transportation save sleigh and flying reindeer. Golf carts, go karts, limos, RVs, boats, antique fire trucks, horses, wagons—even the Martin County Sheriff Office’s DUI taxi and helicopter to start the event with a fly over. Local businesses will hand out goodies in the parade while stores and offices will remain open for holiday sneak peaks.
The Hobe Sound Centre Building on Bridge Road will serve again as the Grand Stand and Judging Station. From the balcony, enjoy holiday music by DJ Dancensound filling the streets of Hobe Sound.
Attendees should arrive early and shop! Find those one-of-a-kind gifts at the craft stroll from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., with local vendors filling the sidewalk starting at Taste. In addition to the numerous floats and 1,500 parade participants, we’re expecting as many as 5,000 spectators.
No matter how much it’s grown since its humble beginnings in 1986, the Hobe Sound Chamber Christmas Parade—like the holiday itself—remains the same in its unique power to unite the entire town together in a spirit of joy, peace and thankfulness. “We believe the Hobe Sound Christmas Parade is a great kick-off for the holiday season. It's a great privilege to be involved each year!” said event Chair Richard Nash.
